And why not allow it to be quickly transformed into a monopod? What if the legs could morph into sturdy, adjustable trekking poles? Offering a wide height range as a standard tripod (23 to 64 inches), the low profile configuration creates a stable platform just 9 inches above the ground making an excellent prone rifle or low spotting scope support. With the addition of the included wrist straps, the two removeable legs are quickly converted into trekking poles weighing a slight 9 ounces each and extend from 16 to 50 inches in length. Securing the ball head to one of the removeable legs creates a full function monopod which extends from 19.5 to 67.5 inches.
